Spinmaster is well known, and gets even more respect for this product. Slamming a brand new take on laser tag, some fun key elements place these RC helicopters in their own category. Havoc Heli Laser Battle pits two RC controlled miniature helicopters against one another in an air tag battle. Surprisingly, the idea didn't come out as sloppy as it could've been.
First and most importantly the package comes with a set of helicopters, not just one. So you're ready to battle right from the start. Second, they are small and built for indoor use. The controllers and instructions are very well thought out and easy to follow. If you have a lot of obstacles in your house, one small read of the manual will make your life a lot easier.
The built in Li-poly battery is pretty standard issue, but only requires about 20-30 minutes of charging for a good 5-6 minutes of flight time. It would be fine on its own just flying around the house, but the real fun is putting it to the test against another opponent!
Though it doesn't seem like a lot, the colorful sound effects when shooting off your laser does a lot for the game. When you manage to nail an opponent's helicopter, they spiral randomly downwards until they regain control or just flat out crash. For personal reasons, I prefer them crashing to their doom to cement my patriotic legacy.
These are meant more for fun than anything, so the product specs won't do it much justice. They kept the materials light and the product light, and besides a few battery life issues it is a very solid buy.
