Align T-Rex 450S Build Notes

The Align T-Rex 450 series is perhaps the best known of the mini-size electric helicopters. Many reviews are available online, including this thorough one at T-Rex Tuning. In this article I'm going to sum up the positive and negative experiences I had building the 450S aluminum kit, and include a list of tips to help you out.

Eagle Tree Systems eLogger V3 Review

The eLogger V3.

The eLogger V3 from Eagle Tree Systems is an in-flight data logger which continuously records volts, amps, watts, and milliamp-hours to enable pilots to analyze the performance of their electric power systems. In addition, it supports a wide variety of optional sensors to record altitude, airspeed, component temperatures, RPM, and more.

BUKU Self-Tuning Exhaust System Review

BUKU

In the RC world, one of the things that we think about most is getting the absolute best power from our vehicles that we can. One element that is crucial to having the best power possible from your vehicle is a well matched exhaust system that can complement the power of your motor. Alot of times, you can have the best motor out there, but if you haven't paired it with a good exhaust, you can kiss all the horsepower and abilities of your motor goodbye. On the flip side, if you have a old motor, or a motor that does not create alot of power, you can wake it up or give it a good kick in the rear by adding a great exhaust. The question is, which one? This is where the Buku comes in.

ElectriFly Reactor 3D Review

The ElectriFly Reactor 3D from Great Planes is a 41" wingspan, mid-wing acrobatic plane. It is aimed at intermediate and expert pilots looking for a 3D-capable park flyer. With huge control surfaces and no dihedral, I was really excited to build this plane and get up in the air.

HPI Savage X 4.6 Review

One of the most well known things about HPI is their "Savage" line up of vehicles. The savage has been around for many years, and has always been considered one of the toughest trucks on the block. With the Savage 21 RTR, Savage SS, Savage 25 RTR, Savage 25 SS, Savage X RTR, and Savage X SS, HPI has just recently released another Savage, the Savage X 4.6 RTR. The X 4.6 has all the same great qualites of the new Savage X RTR, but with even more. A much more powerful F4.6 .28 engine produced by HPI powers the rig, and to slow the big truck down, HPI added their dual red fibre brake system. Not only a much needed upgrade, but looks great too. This, and several other things were added to make the Savage even tougher than the rest.

Ultimate Micro-T: Part II

Since I made my first post on this project a few days ago (http://www.zerorc.com/project-ultimate-micro-t), my Micro-T has gone through almost a complete overhaul. I am about $300 deep in this project out of my pocket, and I must say, it has been worth every single penny! My micro is by far one of my favorite vehicles that I have owned. No matter if im racing it at my local hobby shop (where it receives alot of attention), or if im just messing around in my house, the Micro is a blast and never gets old. The thing looks sickly with all the new parts and hop ups it has received, so much so that it stays on display at the local hobby shop between racing days. Here, check the little bugger out!

Project: Ultimate Micro-T!

Team Losi's 1/18th scale Mini-T is well known in the world of RC, and is by far one of the most popular Minis of all time. The Mini-T has most likely had every part for it redesigned by tons of after market companies, and there are several amazing machines that have been made out of these things seen all over the internet. Now, Team Losi has put everything great about the Mini-T into an even SMALLER package, the 1/36th scale Micro-T! After watching many inspirational video's, I could not resist, I upped and bought a brand new Micro. I will be doing a full aftermarket conversion, and I will be posting a new update article every other week, possibly weekly. Here is the full list of what I have bought so far:

Duratrax Raze Reveiw

Duratrax has been around for quite some time now, and they have released many buggies, truck's, and 1/10th scale's, but I think one of the best of all is their latest buggy, the Duratrax raze. The Raze is an entry level buggy, and for the price I believe it is probably one of the best. There is alot of hate talk about duratrax on alot of forums, and popular RC sites, but I believe that they are begining to make a big comeback. Take a look at the Raze's spec's.

Robitronic Mantis Reveiw

Robitronic is an up and coming company trying to make a big impression on the market with well built cars that feature parts from several great compaines, such as Axial. Their first attempt at a truggy, the Robitronic Mantis, is no exception to these guidlines and is sure to be a big hit on the market.

Traxxas Revo 3.3 Review

The Traxxas Revo has been a shinning star in the RC community since its first debut in the industry, and is well known for its innovative designs. Things like the suspension set up, engine mounting position, and several other things make this truck stand out from the crowd.
