well the cen truck is ok for track, i have the 5.9 that is lowered down a 1/2 inch off the ground with hpi street tires and it runs 52mph i drag race mine thats it, befour i lowered it ... it would do back flips from a stand still... never have i seen that befour so i really mest up my new f650 body i had for it so i street race mine and love it!!! the cen trucks suck i talked my friend into buying one and we broke it in and it don't even do 35mph top if that....

yes i just purchased the k5.9 and i am also having heat issues.i have yet to see its full potential and the full 3.75 horse power.the funny thing is i am running it way rich and it dies when you try to lean it.my .28 wasp still has it beat this thing should be doing nothing but wheelies in my reg chasis.think i am going to see how hot i can get it before i send it back.

best way to fix heat problems is to get rid of the tuned pipe and put a plastic one on like the one that came stock with the savage x

i just got this truck 2 weeks ago, havnt got a chance to run it yet, the temp outside here has been -45 degrees, for the past two weeks, ive been hearing alot of good things about the savage, wich is replasing, my broken revo, wich was also a decent truck, hope all the good things i hear are true, today will be my first run , looking forward to it.

savage xl kicks ass over any truck i jump it off my two story house do a couple flips aswell at the same time if i land or not it dont matter it is unbreakable
you cant do that with any other truck if you can id like to see it to beleave it
only downfall is the diff pinnion are known to break but the cen mod fixs that

I would try cutting a small slit about 1/4 of the windscreen so you get airflow through to the bottom of the heat sink on the cylinder head. The major difference I can see on this truck compared to my 4.6 on which I mounted a 5.9 is the amout of plastic around the heat sink. The roof is lower on my 4.6 body and the plastic does not sit so close to the heat sink's circumfrance. So it breaths better and stays around 223 to 250 or so according to my digital termometer.

I been looking at the MGT 8.0 THE XL 5.9 and THE new team losi ten and the new revo 3.3 2.4 ghz package i dont know what to get I really Like the XL 5.9 but the losi and the revo have new 2.4 ghz any coments about these vehicles to help me on what to get and all of them seem to really good but iam new in the nitro rc and could use some oppions from you guys

i have the savage x 4.6. it is an awesome truck and needs very low maint. to keep running. i do extreme bashing with mine. the only problem ive had with mine is the spur gear is plastic and will strip if you dont check the meshing. however it is easy to replace with a metal gear. I would also suggest a wheelie bar otherwise it could spend some time on its back if not easy with the throttle.

I have this model picked it up last year and has about 2 hours of use time. It has a lot of extras but I will not ship any where so if you in louisiana talk to me and I will send u pics of what it has...I am looking for nothing less the 500.00 for everything truck, eletric starter, chargable plug lighter, 8 glow plugs..trust me there is alot...

gotta give it to the k 5.9 super happy with the motor i recently placed it in my sav 25 just dropped right in broke it in and tuned it all though ive read these engines dont hold a tune very well and there is some type of malfunction in the motor mine is going strong have trouble keeping the front down but havnt lost a race yet!!!!!!!
