Interview With RC Pro Adam Drake

When you think about Nitro RC racing, here are a few names that might come into your mind. Adam Drake, Matt Francis, Jammin Jay, and a few other great people. We here at Zero RC received the blessing of being able to interview one of those three men, Adam Drake! Adam is well known for his racing capabilites, and one of his main sponsors is Team Losi. I spoke to him for a few days, getting things ready for him to get the questions and let us know whats up! Here are the 7 Questions and Answers with Pro RC Driver Adam Drake!

Zero RC: For 2007, what were some of your best moments of your RC life?

Adam Drake: The entire year (2007) was great. It was very successful for Losi and me personally. Losi won many events in 2007; some of the events were:Team Losi Nitro Off-Road Champs, The Dirt Nitro Challenge, Silver State Nitro Challenge, Nova Rossi GP, Reedy Truck Race, and Roar 1/8th Fuel Offroad Championships just to name a few.

Zero RC: What were some of the biggest titles you won during 2007?

Adam Drake: There were many great events in 2007, but the biggest title was definitely the ROAR 1/8th Buggy National Championship. I was very happy to take home the title from that event.

Zero RC: What Major events occured for you that really helped you out in 2007?

Adam Drake: I really enjoy racing in new places and I learned a lot at the 2007 Off Road Meeting in Monsummano, Italy. I also learn a lot from the ROAR Nationals.

Zero RC: What was the absoulute WORST thing that happened to you in 2007?

Adam Drake: The worst event for me in 2007 was the ROAR Truck Nationals. I qualified very well in all three classes, but learn on main day that I was maybe running too many classes for one event. The weather was very hot and took a lot out of you. I didn't finish very well in the finals.

Zero RC: What was the scariest thing that has happened in 2007?

Adam Drake: I had a couple of pretty crazy plane rides in 2007. I had to land in some crazy winds after one event.

Zero RC: What are some of your biggest goals for RC in 2008?

Adam Drake: I have many goals for not only 2008, but for my future in racing. I would like to defend my ROAR National Title and also win the 1/8th IFMAR World Championship.

Zero RC: Is there anything else you would like to say?
