New Era HPI Fire Storm BB Kit

New Era Models is famous for making awesome conversions for all kinds of cars, whether it's the Twin Engine Savage kit, the .46 Conversion for the LST2, or the 1/4 scale kit also for the Savage. Now New Era has come out with another kit that looks pretty interesting, the HPI Firestorm Big Block.

This is our big block engine conversion for the HPI Firestorm 10T made by New Era Models. Using this kit makes installing .21 or larger engines easy. Shown is an Ofna .28 with a pull start.

This kit includes:

• 1 billet aluminum forward engine mount
• 1 billet aluminum rear engine mount
• 1 steel throttle return spring

This kit requires:

• large round servo wheel
• big block engine
• big block exhaust system (pipe, manifold)

In my opinion, this kit looks pretty cool. Considering how light the Firestorm is, I think that this one is possibly a little overkill, you don't need almost 3HP in something that weighs only 5 pounds, although I could be wrong.
