Zero RC Interview with Losi's Todd Hodge

Todd HodgeName: Todd Hodge

Home Town: Originally from Youngstonm OH. Residing in Sun City, CA

Sponsors: Team Losi, GRP, JR, Spektrum, Vinyl Graphics Unlimited, JGO Paintz, Lunsford

Currently Racing: 1/8 scale off-road

Zero RC: How do you prepare for a big event?
Todd Hodge: A lot of practice, currently I am gearing up for the ROAR 1/8 buggy Nationals and I plan on practicing at least 2 to 3 times per week.

Zero RC: What is the best tip you can give a newbie for any kind of racing?
Todd Hodge: Keep your head up and stay focused. Racing can be frusterating for you at times but hard work pays off.

Zero RC: Is there anyone in the racing community that inspires you and keeps you going?
Todd Hodge: I would have to say right now it is Adam Drake and Dyno (Dan Hissam, Losi engineer).

Zero RC: Losi has been on top of the racing world for years, but what has changed since Gil Losi Jr.'s leaving?
Todd Hodge: Not much, great companies loose great people all the time. With Jr. leaving it made all of us at Losi step up to the plate and put our thinking caps on to keep Losi at the forefront of innovation.

Zero RC: What is your most memorable moment while racing?
Todd Hodge: Almost winning 1/12th Mod at the 2006 US Indoor Champs, but I drove to hard and killed my batteries.

Zero RC: Is there ever a time where you need to step back and take a break?
Todd Hodge: Oh yeah, you have to do this. There are only some people that are built like Adam Drake who do nothing but RC. I need to get away time for myself to help me stay focused.

Zero RC: Have you raced outside of the US?
Todd Hodge: Yes, I have been to Finland, Germany, Austria, South Africa, Japan, Switzerland, and Canada.

Zero RC: What would you like to accomplish in the new season?
Todd Hodge: Top 5 at the 1/8th ROAR Buggy Nats.

Zero RC: Anything else you would like to say?
Todd Hodge: Thanks for the interview!

We would like to thanks Todd Hodge for the interview and wish him luck at the 1/8 nats that are coming up and we also wish him luck through out the rest of the season.
